BUDGET SAVING Tips & Tricks for Independent Musicians

In this video, independent dance pop singer/songwriter JONATHAN MILLER shares 3 awesome budget saving tips & tricks for independent musicians. Being an indie artist is a very expensive career and it's even more spendy when you're just starting out. Between recording, distribution, music videos, DAWs, and many other things -the costs add up pretty quickly.

So today I'm sharing some of my tips on how to save money as an indie artist. One way you can save some money is by using your computer's built-in DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Garageband and Audacity are popular ones but there are others as well. I've recorded 2 albums on Garageband so trust me, it's completely possible to make it work! The key is to focus on getting a good quality condenser microphone and an audio interface. I recommend the AKG Perception 220 Microphone and the Focusrite iTrack Solo Audio Interface because they are simple and relatively cheap to get. I've used that simple set-up for many years so they are sturdy!

Budget saving for independent musicians is important, I know, but that's why you should watch all of my budget saving tips for indie artists. :)
